Assess the damage
We inspect the rug to determine the type and extent of the damage. Common damages include holes, tears, fraying edges, worn-out areas, and discoloration
Restore worn-out areas
Worn areas can be revived by re-knotting, replacing fibers, and sometimes redyeing, restoring the rug's original look and feel.
Refringing using cotton, wool, or silk depending on the rug.
Refringing repairs or replaces a rug's decorative fringe with materials like cotton, wool, or silk, tailored to the rug's type.
Repair holes and tears
Holes and tears can be repaired by reweaving or patching the damaged area. Our professional staff can match the color, pattern, and texture of the rug to ensure a seamless repair.
Resizing rugs
This technique includes cutting the rug to the desired size, followed by re-binding or re-fringing the edges for a tidy finish. Alternatively, sewing along the edges can establish a new border and resize the rug.
Fix fraying edges
Frayed edges can be repaired by overcasting or binding the edges. This will prevent further fraying and give the rug a finished look again.
Sewing on leather strips for hanging
Sewing leather strips on the back of the rug. Leather provides a sturdy and stylish option for hanging rugs.
